Service A c63 coupe
Hey guys,
Still pretty new to this car even though ive had it for a couple of months.
The Service A popped onto my screen and i checked my manual to see if it was too early (the cars only done 9000km!) It said that service a needs to be done at 12months or 25000km.
It's now 20 days overdue lol... does that matter? Oh and since that popped up on the screen i havn't driven it at all apart from moving it out of the garage to wash it!

Service A is at 15000KM or 1 year. You should not let it go too long or the requirement for Service B may be shortened and the dealer may give you a hassle about warranty if your services are not performed on schedule.

Service 1/A at 15000KM or 1 year; then every 30000KM or 2 years (Engines 113,156(AMG63),275,642)
Service 1/A at 20000KM or 1 year:then every 40000KM or 2 years (Engines 266,272,273)
So it depends on what engine is in the vehicle and our C63 has the 156 engine and is thus 15000KM at least in Canada and I think they use 10000M in the US just to simplify the service intervals and make them easier to remember.
Down under not the same?
Cheers, Mort

For the AMG M156 engine, the A service is done at 20,000ks or 12500 miles. On p17 of my service booklet, it shows the service A at 25000 Ks 0r 15500 miles for the "normal" MB cars, but for the M156, the service detail periods as initially quoted are shown at the bottom of the same page.

Prepaid service
Picking up my car in two days and they want $1000 for prepaid service. Is this a good buy?

It's funny that the service interval differs from one country to the other.
I do mine once a year when the service light indicator reminds me to do it. But I believe for AMG engine in Canada is 15 000km, but it's good to know we can roll up to 20 000km like in Australia.

Definitely a good deal if it's 4 years... service A is about 300$ & service B 600$ to give you an idea.

Service 1/A is basically a list of inspections along with Service 3 which is an oil and filter change.
Service 2/B is a longer list of inspections along with Service 3 oil and filter change; Service 4 bodywork and underside inspection and change brake fluid (2 years); Service 5 replace cabin filter; Service 6 replace differential fluid AMG PP with LSD ( every 60000km or 2 years).
It is all itemized in your Service Booklet in your manuals that came with the car. Worth having a look.

Hey guys,
As I've stated around this Forum, I live in Brazil, and prices here are outrageous. They overprice anything. I'm on schedule to my Service A on the C63BS, but instead of just leaving there and asking them "do it", I've decided to get to know what was going to be done, and even more, buy the itens abroad and take it for them to change what needs to be changed. Basically I will use their knowlegde and elbow grease, as I'm no mechanic whatsoever.
Can you fellows please specify what is done in the Service A? I've read here before: oil change and oil filters, and a bunch of inspection. I'd like to buy the OEM filters with everything else that might be needed in that service, . My car has 14k km on it (around 9k miles), and I bought it from a previous owner with 12k km (under 8k miles), last maintenance done in september/2015.
Sorry for the long post.
Thanks in advance.
