Four post lift for my AMG
Hi guys, I decided to post over here the four post lift pictures and info as I know quite a few of you from over the years. I posted some more pics of this lift over on the SLS forum but would know many of you would be interested in this little project of mine. Basically I decided to do this as my new home has a two car garage and always wanted a third. I had the height of the ceiling so after many hours of due diligence I decided to have a four post lift professionally installed. This was decided due to the winter months approaching and I wanted to avoid the scraping of my Dodge Ram while freezing you know what in the wee hours of the morning before I head off to work. Basically, the SLS is raised up high, my Dodge Ram fits underneath with lots of clearence and my wife's GL has her spot reserved on the other side.

The stickers I ordered seperately but installed them myself. My ceilings are 12ft high and when the Dodge is under the lift, the SLS has about 6-8inches from the ceiling, the Dodge clears the lift raised in maximum height by about 7inches, more than enought space. I will take a picture with the garage full of cars soon. The lift I went with is the Challenger CLP9X, rated for 9000lbs and has the highest raise height in order for pick up trucks to fit. I had to modify the garage door tracks to lift up to the ceiling, and went with a wall mount garage door opener, the Liftmaster 3800 series. FYI, the lift in the pictures is only raised at half as I just finished installing the decals.

Nick, looks like a tight fit for the truck... how hard is it to back in there.. or can you even drive it forward w/o hitting the post? lol

Just found one online for $3,300 which is WAY cheaper than I thought it would be. This of course, is without installation.

They don't have the price listed on the website unfortunately but they have a TON of other cool lifts:

Meng, tonnes of room, the post line up with the garage door jams so there is no way I am going to hit the posts. Backing it in is a little more tricky rather than just driving it straight in. I would drive it in 99% of the time. Remember, this whole project was done only so I can put the truck inside in the winter months so I dont freeze to death while scraping off ice and snow.
