Automobile Magazine, December 2012 - C63 vs. M3 vs. RS5 vs. Boxster S
Automobile Magazine liked pretty much everything about the C63 except the transmission. The MCT was a bit slower than the dual-clutch trannies in every other car in the test, but that was not the main complaint. The fatal flaw was the overheating issue. The C63 couldn't go 5 minutes on the track before getting kicked into limp mode. This might be the first magazine test where the problem is directly called out, and it was the one reason for the C63's poor finishing position.

The AMG was very strong in the acceleration data. No surprise there, and equal to the M3 in lap time.
