FS: New F14's & Sparco Evo 2 Plus (Ultimate Track Pack)

I have a pair of brand new Forgestar F14's 18x8.5 available in matte black. These weigh 17.5 pounds and were going to be a second set of front wheels for track days as I would usually burn up the front Hoosiers in a single weekend. They will be shipped in the original shipping containers. For drag racers who already have rear wheels for drag radials you can save 15 pounds per side of rotational mass by using these front wheels with lightweight racing tires. The pair is $500.

The Sparco seat is a game changer on a road course and is 45 pounds lighter than stock for drag racers. The seat was used for one weekend in August of 2011. The base is custom made for the C63 by Josh, it has Sparco side mounts(red) and a slider. The seat can be used with the standard seat belt or a harness system if you are installing a bar. See the picture below of the Cayman R for reference. The entire package cost me over $1,200 including labor and I am selling it for $700.

I will offer the wheels and seat as a package for $1,000.

Just have the wheels, no tires.

I don't have the number but they are the standard offset for a C63 front in 18x8.5 Multiple vendors have ads up for these wheels ( but not for $250 a piece) and they might mention the offset.

What tires would you use with the wheels?

Depends on the application.

For drag racing, assuming you already have drag radials for the rear, I would put the lightest, narrowest DOT R comp that would fit on an 8.5 rim. Either a Hoosier R6, Hankook Z214 etc. These tires weigh about 20-22 pounds and would last forever. This setup would be just about as quick as skinnies but much safer going to and from the track.

For road racing, the same tires in a 245 or 255 width depending on your suspension clearance. Moving to a DOT slick from a street/track tire is amazing. You do sacrifice longevity which is why I planned to bring 4 front tires and cycle between sessions but you will be running with cars that you just can't keep up with without the additional grip!

Here is a link to Tirerack. Hoosier R6 225/40 18 weighs 20 pounds compared to an oem Pirelli which weighs 25 pounds. Add another 7 or 8 pounds for the wheels versus stock.
