BS 1150 mile first service

1150 miles on the BS and I had set up an appoiment for the first service to include engine oil, differential oil, an opted to put on illuminated sills. After much thought I went for the sills that read Mercedes Benz rather than AMG. If the AMG sills had the Black logo , it might have changed my decision, but in any event
the long script of MB in LED looks very kool, and I pleased with my choice.
Tempted to drive with door ajar
Thanks to a AMG PL member the parts dept had me all set and even replaced the actual plug as well as seals on differential. I recall that was done on my 2010 C63 with P31 per factory advice.
I had thought the BS was prewired for sills, but APillar trim and carpets were removed as well as a power cable installed to run to front SAM.
Definitely the install was way above my pay grade

Sweet sills. I just did it to my R-Class a few months back on all four doors. Labor ended up being almost 8 hours. If you don't mind me asking, how many hours did it take your tech?

OK
There is a drain plug that screws into differential
Apparently upon removal there is a seal around the pug that gets compromised upon removal. It is a one piece deal. There are also I presume a gasket seal around the hole that also must be replaced upon refill. most mb dealers do not have these parts in stock, so have parts dept order them and then set up the transfuse before 1800 miles.
The install took most of the day for the sills
Not sure of rate.. $607.50 labor
Sills $695.
I am very happy. Didn't cover the car last night as I kept going into garage and opening doors

Hmm, do they know that they're supposed to do this? Or do I need to remember to tell them beforehand?

C63 BS, GLA45
Isn't that a little early for the diff service? It's 3000km /1850 miles for the diff service. You might want to change it again at 2000.
