What do your leather seats look like?
I've had my car for a little over a year now and my seats look like they are from a 5 year old car. Leather has cracked on lower and upper left sidebolsters. Now, what experiences have you had? I'm considering taking this up with the dealership... It's annoying when i have a clean car yet that's the first thing i see...

I just bought some leatherique to see if I can restore mine. I don't have much wear but there is cracking on the drivers side bolster.
The leather looks faded as well. Hopefully a good clean and some moisturizer will bring it back.

although out of topic, i've read in one of the threads here that someone was able to have the dealer replace the steering wheel (with alcantara), reason due to 'premature' wear-and-tear.. would this 'reasoning' apply to this situation?
i guess it depends on which SA, and which dealership and how they can 'sell' this 'claim' to MB USA (???)

Mine are showing some wear but nothing unexpected so far.
I think the person that posted about getting the alcantara steering wheel replaced had to get the district manager to approve it by complaining about how it wasn't normal wear and tear in line with his porsche which also had alcantara steering wheel.

At least it's worth a shot. Definitely not planning on starting a big hassle, but i know a few people so i figured i can at least ask about it. Otherwise, in a year maybe a roadtrip to affalterbach to reupholster them. Some might think it's a waste of money but it's really annoying me...

most i've seen (worn) is that bolster.. if i'm going to end up keeping the car after 4 yrs, i might have to reupholster those.. and maybe do an alcantara roof liner too ;-)
*again, not gonna hurt to ask..
