Question about the steering wheel paddles

The answer is no for all AMG/MB cars.
Off topic here, but I would prefer the paddles to be mounted on the steering column rather than on the wheel so the position will be static.

Ive had an 2006 M5 in the past which had the lighted shift paddles and while they were cool looking for a day, they felt cheap cause they had to be plastic.
I drove my partners Masterati QP a few times and with the paddles mounted on the column it was totally awkward to shift during a turn or basically anytime unless you were going perfectly straight. I think its the most absurd thing in the world. I realize for racing that you wouldnt be shifting in a turn but the reality is that isnt everyday driving.
Mercedes AMG does it perfectly; heavy feeling cold-aluminium shift paddles that immediatly give an impression of quality, its one of the many things that sold me as soon as i sat behind the wheel and felt those paddles.

Sometimes with the steering wheels turned significantly and with eyes on the road, it's hard to know which one is up and which one is down. But that will not be a problem when they are column mounted.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe all Ferraris and Lambos had theirs column mounted because of that reason.
