Late night ramblings...
I was on my way home from SF tonight after a Thanksgiving potluck when I got popped by CHP on the Bay Bridge for illegal front tints, red side-markers, and no plates (I recently decided to run stealth ...turns out it was not a good idea. Pssh...I wasn't even speeding...and I was in lane 4 of a 5-lane stretch of road.
Anyway, I figure Walnut Creek PD is always out on Saturday nights patrolling downtown so I swing by there to see if I can chat up an officer to write off the ticket, or at least parts of it.
Before I get to do that, I end up parking next to a 2010 white C63 w/PP...owned by a woman who is a nurse . Turns out, she has quite the taste in cars and turns them over like she does her shoes (previously owned an SVT Raptor, Challenger SRT8, ordered a Boss 302 Laguna Seca and cancelled it, etc.) She knows as much about cars as her husband and they were both super cool. They're both ER nurses and their friend who was with them also is an ER nurse (trained by the husband) and was there in a white '07 GT3. Sounds like my type of crew
Back on topic, I solicit one LEO who actually comes over to inspect my car (I'm thinking "crap"). Declines to sign off on it, politely. I ask another LEO just cause there are tons of them out and he signs off on 2 of the 3 infractions. Good enough for me
Now I have a headache.
Goodnight.

If it's a fix-it ticket, you can get any LEO to sign off. You can even go to the DMV. However, if you're clever, you might be able to get a cop to sign off on something you haven't fixed

UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Geez, in Australia, if ya tried that, ya'd be charged with extra offences,.. trying to pevert the course of the law etc, any Police Officer that tried to do it would probably lose his job....Like I said....UNBELIEVABLE.
Once a ticket's written in Aus, ya either pay it, or ya go to court....NO way out.
But hey, if ya can do it..Good luck to you.
Cheers, Pickles.

That's really an interesting nursing crew there, but it makes sense since those who choose to work in the ER obviously like actions. Way to go!
