C63 Amg Police Car
My first post guys
Basically, my dad's looking at a C63 for an unmarked police car. They are £56,000 over here in the UK and I was wondering if it's worth it (Jaguar XJ is roughly the same). He loves my C32 but he wants something a bit more !

lol this would suck police driving c63. wouldn't recommend the c63 for being a police car. people will notice this car(more in europe than usa) people taking pictures of an unmarked cop car that would be fun;p

hm ok I guess I should trust you on this ;p when I spot a c63 I'll probably try to do a bit of speeding with him so it might be a good idea. anyway if it's woth it? sure it is.

Hell, get an F430.
I agree with Mr. Bob... since when do cops get to pick their own luxury sport cars as unmarked cars? If it is true, then the taxpayers are getting raped and should vote to over throw whichever level of government is allowing this.

I have seen many unmarked PO's in all types of cars. When I was in college there was a local cop in a Mustang GT who would goat kids into racing and then throw on the lights
I do believe they were impound cars and not purchased by the officer themselves.

Some traffic Police over here do drive high power BMWs, Volvos and I've seen a couple of Subarus knocking around. These cars are never M or AMG tuned cars, though - big diesels rule, due to the cost of fuel. It's bull**** to think they'd even consider a car with a 6 litre V8.

gthal, you dont have those in ottawa? here near toronto i've seen the following unmarked cop vehicles...
modded civic, ford f150, caravan, navigator, beetles, coopers, 3 series and the best one of all was the civilian cop that was riding a harley on the hwy driving inbetween the stop and go traffic... he ended up pulling some lady over for using her cell phone haha

I would get SL600 or SL65 SLS might be a good choice too. You may want to get winter tires for it being a police car. Hey, any performance MB will do as soon as someone else is paying. 997 Turbo is a better choice since it is 4WD (do not forget winters).
Sorry, could not handle it...

I was at the F1 race in Austin and their was a hybird cop car I think it was a toyota. That would be embarrassing to get pulled over by a hybird. In the woodlands (north houston) I have seen a few v8 mustang cop cars.

Just liked to say, most of this is paid by my dad and not by the taxpayer. For example, the taxpayer is paying for leasing a Ford Fiesta or similiar for 36months and my dad pays the rest
Thanks
