2011 C63 Value?
I'm looking at a fairly high mileage 2011 C63 with Premium Package (about 33000 miles on the clock), seems quite a bit to me considering it is only a 2011.
What would you guys figure is a fair deal on this car?
Also, it looks like the current body life cycle is up come the 2014 model year (e.g., September 2013). I would assume at that point the current C63's will drop pretty hard, correct?
Anyone have any insight? This would be my first AMG and I am not familiar with the market.
Thanks

Not true at all! 40 k cannot fetch you a 2011, maybe a 2009 with 30k miles. A 2011 would be in 48-52k region if not more. When i was shopping about 4-5 months ago, 2011's were in the high 50's and low 60's

This is about on par with what I've been finding in my search. If anyone has an 09+ with under 35K for under $40k, let me know

It depends on the market and location.
I have a 2011 with less than 4k miles ALL options and I wouldn't let it go for less than $55k-$57 - cause I know the deal will try to sell it for 62k or so..
I maybe wrong with those numbers, but then again, I am sticking with this car for 5 more years..

I have looked at a couple of 2009 and 2010 cars with similar miles. The 2009 cars are in the low 40s and the 2010 cars typically asking low 50s but seems they all will take very high 40s. I looked at one 2012 used car(but this had a 1/3rd the miles) that was very high 50s and before I could make an offer it got moved to another dealership and now is listed in the mid 60s. So my guess is a 2011 is going to be in low to mid 50s.
If looking at paying mid 50s or more then I'd personally consider just doing an ED on a brand new car and perhaps not going too wild with options. But that is just me and I am probably rare in that only option I'd really care about is having leather which means an ED car would run me around $60k and I travel to Europe yearly so not like I face extra traveling expenses.

I have 2011 Black/black, premium 2, upgraded leather. 21880 miles. Was offered 51K by dealer on a trade. Will probably settle for 52K.

although the w204 is nearing the end of its cycle, we got to remember along with the passing of the w204, the M156 engine is gone too. enthusiasts that want to have that NA v8 will want to add one to their stable... there will be some demand for it. We see that the 08 c63 amg is holding value at the mid - high 30s.... not bad for a 5 year old car.

C63s are a dime a dozen now. Shop around, really paying more for a 2011 vs a 2009 with the same miles is ridiculous. Its the same car. Miles, aka usage is what I base my worth on.
Id say the 2011 with that many miles is worth in the 40s.

please lets not be over optimistic about depreciation of these vehicles. a 2011 in the 40s = bare bones no upgrades or a carfax as long as the bible.
ultimately you pay to play, if you cant pay, enjoy another car or save up. if you are already stretching to buy one of these cars, maintence, gas and mods will hurt you.

+1 on finding a newer one with lower miles. Who knows how hard those miles have been.
If my math is still accurate, almost all cars depreciate about 50% in 4 years. That means in 2 years, it'll depreciate about 25% assuming typical mileage. That would put a 2011 MY at about 24k miles and a value of roughly $52.5k. With that much mileage, almost 3 years worth, I wouldn't pay over $50k. You could find a CPO for less miles, but possibly closer to the upper $5x,xxx I think.

you're kidding right? regardless if c63s are a dime a dozen, the simple fact that the 2011 is 2 years newer makes it worth more (when both cars are similar spec and mileage). if they were both 15 years old, maybe the difference isnt large but not when we are still in 2012 and the model you are looking at is 2011, there is a difference in price.... and dont forget, the 2010-2011 versions had some improvements

A car is a machine which wears out over time from usage. If the two cars are the same in each year, IE nothing major was changed, why would you pay more for a number on the registration??? Its the same car, nothing was changed, maybe some mirrors and a button or two... The vehicles worth should be based on its condition and mileage.
You show me a 2009 and a 2011 with the same packages, condition and mileage, you wanna pay more for the 2011 be my guest, Ill drive away the 09 with a smile. (Im leaving the head bolt issue and warranty out of the equation)

and i will still pay more for a say equally specced and mileage 2011 over a 09. just 2 years worth of winters and salt less is well worth it.. or the wear and tear on other parts. to get so many miles in such a small period of time, i would also assume there will be more hwy miles vs city miles too.
and... i dont like the 08 - 09 mirrors soooooo lol.
go get a 2010, that's what i did. enjoy the best of both worlds at a good price haha however do get the extended limited warranty. i'm covered up to like 160k kms and 7 years. peace of mind!
