Forgestar CF5

goodmorning guys, I ordered a set of CF5's about 5-6 weeks ago to add on to my 12 sedan. according to forgestar they are at the powdercoating stage and should ship next week, I've read some horror stories online though which other people have heard that same line and received their wheels 4 weeks after that lol. anyways, can anyone tell me their impression of the wheels if anyone has them on their c63? quality? the way they look? ride?

thanks

I really wanted to get these too but they weren't jwl certified but we're via certified. Living in ny I don't want bent rims. Once you get them please update this thread or me about how they ride and if they bent within the first month.

Can you explain more? What does "jwl" mean?

I have a set of 19's and have been riding them for almost a year now....no issues whatsoever and with the impact that I had on a curb when avoiding a deer recently, the things were unbelievably strong...

My normal AMG wheels would have sheered themselves in half under those circumstances - the CF5's just got a little dent, literally.

I still don't understand how they performed the way they did.

I highly recommend them.

Hmm thats very strange because a vendor verified that they were only VIA Certified. They may be certified in SAE JWL VIA in 18's and not 19's. Can someone please confirm.

AMG GLC63. Audi R8
The OEM are simply castings. I've had them crack (down the center) bend and go out of round and MBZ wants about $1,000 per wheel to replace one. See the Forgestar website for how they make their wheels. Although not forged, like HRE or Champions, they are stronger than stock and aren't crazy expensive. They seem to have a long order backlog given their pricing. If you need some in a hurry ACG keeps on order positions leaving color to the last and sometimes have some in stock.
