Will they rub?

Will 245x40x18's rub on 18x8 rims on the front? And yes I did a search with zero results.

See Sig
I would say 40's would most likely rub. I never tried though.

You'll probably need to shave your fender lining tabbies but you might be able to pull it off.

Look what I found on google...fyi, the search function here is not good.

IIRC, stock is 235/40, so 245 should be easy... I think I ran those in vredestein as well.

You will be OK with that tire and rim combination.

Thanks Money.

Coming from a drag racing back ground, I would normally keep the 235/40's for the street along with the 275/35's out back. But I may go 245's on the front to balance the handling. I'm going to run 8" rims front with 9.5" rear. I'll run Nitto 05's cause they really stick.

Any other ideas on the subject?

Here's a good thread for you then. I used to race this guy and beat him like a red-headed stepchild!! Well...not really, especially not now with his GT-R.

I think 245/275 will be the largest you could go stock without having to worry about rubbing under any conditions. Also, FYI, you can fit a nitto 555r drag radial on stock rims, but that really is the limit. I think if you google you'll find a few threads on it. Good luck!

I run 245 40 on front and 265 on back with stock 18" wheels with no rubbing at all. I'm running Hankook V12's.

I have been looking hard at the TSW Nurburging in gunmetal 18x8 & 18x9.5. TSW doesn't make a 8.5 in that wheel. I searched and did a lot of R&D on which rear tires to run. The Nitto 05's come in a Drag radial too but I only ran the 05's due to side wall flex.

TSW does make an 18x8.5 in the Nurburgring.
