Looking to trade C63 Coupe for Sedan (Any baby carrying experience with a coupe?)
I love my coupe but the wife is worried about how hard it will be to live with once our first kid gets here and we have to reach into the back seat all the time.
I want to trade it for a sedan but they are hard to come by used right now in my area and I dont want to take another bath ordering another new car (tons over the last few years).
So just wondering if anybody uses their coupe as a baby carrier as well or if anybody with a sedan wishes they got a coupe!
Only other sedan option is going up to an E63 or god forbid a E90 M3 as I'm not much of a recent M5 fan.

my wife bananas! :D
I know gthal and a few other members have a car seat in the back of their coupes and say its fine
Personally, I think it depends on your car seat setup. When my daughter was born and before she reached 20ish pounds, her car seat was also used to snap onto our stroller. So this means the car seat had to be installed and removed all the time. IMO no matter how ok a coupe is, a sedan with the extra doors would be just that much more convenient.
However since my girl is over a year now and outgrown her seat she is in a stationry car seat and cbecause that seat stays in the car, I think here a coupe or a sedan doesn't make too much of a difference
Btw... What does the wife drive? I got one a GLK for our baby moving, grocery shopping, trip taking all around mule. Works great. Plus, I don't know what stroller you guys will be buying but we went for a stokke and it takes up the entire c63 trunk but fits very nicely in the glk

Congrats for ur future baby!! U will love this new life changing moments!!
When I use my C63sedan to drive the family around, it becomes a 3 seater almost cuz the front passenger has to be pushed forward quite a bit to accommodate the baby seat.
My vote would be to trade ur coupe for a sedan for sure as ur baby will get heavier by the weeks & reaching in the back seat will give u back pain soon or later. And I'm sure ur wife will feel cramped in the back of ur coupe with all the baby gears. Lol
If resale value will take a big hit. I would suggest u to keep the coupe & buy urself a minivan like I did. Or if ur baller like Tim (Fung63), a GLK would be nicer. Lol

2013 C63 Coupe BS Conversion
Hey, I've had both the sedan and the coupe and I have a 5-yr old son. To be honest, I actually find it a little easier to get him into the coupe as the passenger seat moves way up and seems to leave more space for him to get in and out. That being said, it's a booster seat in the back and not a full car seat so not sure if that's what's making the most difference. I can tell you that it will work with the coupe and a baby though. Might not be ideal but definitely not that bad. The biggest complaint is if the weather is bad, my wife gets stuck outside the car until I can get the little guy buckled up in the seat. Hope that helps a little.

No performance pack, planned on a tune and adding my own LSD if I realistically ended up on a track with it as the traction control negates the LSD when driving on the street, as it at least stays on Sport mode when on surface streets.
But ended up buying a 95' M3 coupe as a DD/Eventual track toy. Its in pieces in the garage right now.

Baby seat and booster seat in the back of mine. No issues. It isn't as "convenient" as getting them in and out of my wife's SUV but they are also only in my car once in a while. My 4 year old drives with me each day but the 1 year old only on some occasions. If you have a "family" vehicle that will deal with most of the child carrying duties, I would just keep the coupe. If you only have the one vehicle then it will eventually become a pain in the butt.

Sort of have the wife convinced to consider keeping the coupe. We love the coupe interior and the color combo because the paint, wheels and brake calipers all match.
And thanks for the feedback, its helping.
Also we have 4 cars parked here and they are all coupes Haha.
