Leaving my car undriven for a month and a half
Anybody have any suggestions besides using the car cover since I've never done this before ?

It'll probably be fine as is. If you're paranoid, pour in some fuel stabilizer. Maybe disconnect the battery if you want, don't think that's necessary either.

You give your keys to a buddy tht can start it for you once in awhile. Sigh, I guess I could spare some time EVERY day to ensure car is running at peak performance
So where are you going?

You can make sure you have a full tank of fresh Shell premium but beyond that I don't really think much is necessary as its only for 6 weeks or so. Certainly cars at the dealership sit that long. I park mine for the entire winter but take additional steps as its a longer duration (4 or so months)...

U should be fine Nick, I sometime only start my car once every 3-4 weeks in winter months to circulate the fluids & charge the battery. No problem at all.

If the car is left in the same place without moving for too long, the tires can come out of their normal circular / round shape which may make the car feel a little different while driving. If you experience that, put 50PSI in the tires to let them fill out the shape again and then move back down to standard PSI temps. Not always necessary but sometimes it can happen.

Don't disconnect the battery just put a cigarette lighter trickle charger on it. You may also consider tire pads that you drive onto which prevent flat spots on your tires from sitting in one place too long. Other than that you should be OK.

As someone that has done this with every vehicle I've owned (I work in Alaska on a 2 month on/off rotation). I put sta-bil in with a full tank of fuel, harden the tires up to 50psi or so to prevent flat spotting, and put a trickle charger on it. Then cover it up as you will be surprised how she looks after sitting for a month and a half...even in your seemingly clean garage. It makes no sense to start it up every week or so as the temperature of your oil will never hit the optimum lubrication point and you just causing undue wear on the engine. I've done this on everything from Porsche Turbo's to Aston Martins and never had an issue with any car I've owned.

I've left my car undriven for about a month and car covered only. I did none of the above as what others are suggesting. I probably should in the future. So far no issues.
