So far, still stock. Might do an airbox upgrade, but probably nothing else for now, for a while.

I have had an itch to get a medium/higher mileage CLK63 BS and toss it at Weistec for a full engine rebuild (ARP Head Bolts, etc.) and a CARB compliant SC upgrade. I think I'll be keeping my C63 BS stock, though.

If you're gonna get a CLK BS as a second, I assume, track car, why do a full build and then worry about CARB compliance??

Yeah, that's a good point. I originally figured I'd want that to keep it versatile so that it's not strictly just a track car.

500hp stock
MHP Headers & mids with Cargraphic xpipe/valve mufflers & Velos tune
540hp

Not happy with the whole result.

MHP headers are way too big for the engine. The throttle pedal has some vibrations at WOT.
Cargraphic mufflers are not well built. Already changed one as a metal piece broke INSIDE the muffler.
Velos tune... no comment.. Very bad timings , tune running too rich... & 20hp.. The handheld programmer is worthless.... Many tuners will reflash for free anyway...

I would suggest removing the res for the first mod & airboxes. Other than that , better to keep it stock for a while. Don't mess with perfection. I learned it the hard way.
If you want "safe" performance , go with Weistec or well known tuners.

Kaiba, do You mean that Velos does not reflash for free if You already have their tune?

No sorry. I don't know about them if they reflash for free.
What I meant is that the software is useless to me as the tunes are not working. And you can't add any other files to the programmer unless it is from Velos.
I first wanted to use the programmer to store customs tunes but they wanted me to revert back to stock to refund me the programmer. After all , no refund so I have a programmer with 3 tunes that I don't use and don't work. a 1500$ value

As much crap as I talked about MHP I can't discredit there headers.
MHP headers are perfect for this car, proven on track and Dyno and daily driving.
They are 1 7/8 true longtube 4-1 collector to 3inch mids they mate to stock resonator. Gains from that is over 100rw with matching tune,
U butchered u exhaust system and u have a wack tune maybe that's why u gained 40hp and have rubbing issues.
U have money to dump on a BS why not do it rite.

I always supported MHP with my previous C63. I don't say their headers are bad. Maybe the Black doesn't have the same engine compartement as a "standard" C63. dunno.
Headers alone made 15hp so for sure they are good

The best mods you can do u BS already has.
# 1 is tune, U already have that from AMG
# 2 is LSD
# 3 weight reduction. CF hood ,trunk, lightweight wheels, lightweight rotors, CF roof

If that's not plenty of power for u then add headers u will have a car that has 600 plus BHP

Dude 15rw something is wrong there. Are u sure u have no exhaust leaks.
Have someone custom tune it for you and go to someone legit that has some proven results.
