Driving Mode Selector Malfunction?
I have a 2012 C63 coupe. This morning when I started the car up, the knob selector didn't light up where it will show you which driving mode you are in currently such as comfort, s, s+, or manual. When I tried to switch it to a different driving mode, it wouldn't change and would just stayed in comfort mode. I even drove for about 45 minutes and even turning the car off a couple of times. However, it still have the same problem.
Fortunately, I came back after 2 hours and started the car again, and everything was back to normal. Beforehand, I didn't drive the car for more than 1 week and the outside temperature has been constantly around 33 F. Could the glitch/malfunction happened because it was too cold?
Sorry for being a bit too long-winded. Hope you guys can give me some insight. Thanks.

I've had that happen on my car before...was just a glitch.
Not worth taking the time to go to a store unless it comes back.
Hopefully you can breathe easy now!
Merry Christmas
(and no, would have nothing to do with temperatures)

Yeah, a few of us have had a random "cruise control inoperable" error. After restarting the car, it went away. A tech at my local dealer checked it out and determined it was just a glitch. My dealership is about 2 blocks away so I have the luxury of taking it in whenever I want.

I've had the same problem too. Turning it off and on immediately didn't make any difference. Shutting it down for a few minutes so it could "re-set" did the trick for me. It was nice warm day when it happened so temperature wasn't a factor. Just a one off glitch 6 months ago (car is now 14 months old).

I got a message on my display that said my lane monitoring system (warns you if you weave out of your lane) wasn't working. Took it to the dealership, and the problem had corrected itself. No codes thrown either. I felt a bit foolish.
