Dunno. Maybe it's only just becoming more popular, at least in major cities. That was one of the only options my car didn't come with. And I wish it had because some places in SF are TIGHT!

I presume it's likely due to how narrow parking spaces are within European cities vs the US.

We have that option in Canada & I love it. Protect my mirrors from potential damages while parked.

Its standard in most EU countries. Gives a nice touch when locking the car lol.

2008's have it.
2009's 10's don't and I believe 11's have it.

If u want it that bad it can be added on.

I believe the main reason for MBUSA eliminating the power folding mirrors was from all the complaints they received for squeeking noises when the mirror closed. They swapped them out in 2009 for memory seating.

MBUSA doesn't allow a lot of neat options for no real good reason I can figure out. I suspect it is all based on what one or two marketing guys think will be most popular and less problems with the "traditional" buyer from the country club set.

My 2012 coupe mirrors fold manually. they are not electrical, but they definitely fold inward. I really don't mind it, knowing that I'm probably saving a few lbs. If only the sunroof could be deleted, I could save some serious weight.

Probably because they're really not needed with wide US parking spaces. I wish that my car in Ireland had them as parking spots are significantly narrower.

My 2009 has folding mirrors I love it because they fold when you lock it , so at a glance I can look out and see if I locked the car or not
U.S. got jacked on a bunch of stuff, I also have keyless go push start , and hardly any American cars have that

folding mirrors can be retrofitted, depends on if owner wants to pay for it.
a nice looking console has all the switches present.
although this is not a C63 but you get the picture, this pic is from my own car a w202 AMG and I have all switches present, not all AMG's came like this from factory which is stupeed.

Even my e doesn't have them. Kinda do manually but barely goes in.

M5 has it. I think. Even has soft door close

Keyless go is an option on US C63s, at least on the 2012s. This is one of those must have options for me.

My car is a 2008 C63 and it has folding mirrors. US spec. One thing I am upset about is that it doesn't have tilt down mirrors in reverse.

reverse tilt and folding mirrors should be in the comfort package. its pretty silly that it lacks these options. i'm lucky that i have good parking spaces where it isnt an issue.

So can someone clarify. I have a button which folds the mirrors automatically or when I lock the car they fold automatically but when I put it in reverse, the mirrors don't tilt? I've had the option on cars a third of the value. What gives?

in order for the passenger mirror to tilt, you must have the passsenger mirror
button selected to do so.

Narrow streets in Europe so its not uncommon for a car to lose its mirror while parked.

Mine doesn't have that feature. My dad had it on his 1990 735i.
