Anyone near Palo Alto want to check out a car for me?

I agreed to purchase a 2010 E63 from the Fisker dealer in Palo Alto, CA. However, I live in MN.

Wondering if anyone close would be up for checking out the condition of the car? It looks great in the pictures, but would like a review from someone not associated with the dealer!

Just thought I'd check on here since it has more action than the W212 forum.

Thanks!

I work in Mountain View. If I find myself bored at work this week I'll see if I can swing by.

Cool. It might be put away with a SOLD tag on it or something, I have no idea. I worked with Jack Durr who is the sales manager there. He will know about it if you don't see it.

Just looking for an overview of the condition of the vehicle.

Thanks for the help!

Did you request a pre-purchase inspection from an MB dealer?

I called the MB dealer in Palo Alto and told them the deal and they didn't think a PPI was necessary. They talked me out of it actually. Said everything is covered under warranty anyway. Plus the warrant starts on 11-15-12 so it's almost like having a new car. I'm torn on the PPI since I can't see it myself.

Sounds brand new, but for like $200 would you want the piece of mind?

True. It would be nice piece of mind that's for sure. Still debating.

Well let me know if anyone gets out there to look at the car. That would definitely help as well.

Thanks!

Yes
Definitely get the PPI regardless of what the dealer says. Warranty has nothing to do with bent frames, repainted body parts or abused wear/tear items that will require replacement soon.

I would say unless that dealership is a certified MB dealer, get the PPI, which it doesn't sound like it is.
