So I just wanted to post this to verify it here. I'm about to purchase a 2010 C63 with 40k on it.

The dealer and Carfax told me that it was still under warranty for another year or 10k, so I was just gonna extend it before that's up eventually.

I just wanted to confirm this and make sure that sounded right?

It's usually 4 yrs or 50k miles, whichever comes first.

seems like actual experiences vary as to whether you can buy the MB ELW later, even if still under original factory warranty. the dealership i bought it from said it had to be purchased before the car was retitled (i didn't get the car from that dealership), so i purchased it early on. other members here said that they were able to buy the warranty later (i think). if you run a search, there a few threads on it.

Just because one dealership won't sell you an extended warranty doesn't mean another will also turn you down.

i can't remember if i called finance, but just call the dealership and say that you want to get an ELW. they will direct you to the right person.

please post back if a dealer allows you get a MB ELW after purchasing a used c63. the consensus is (was?) that if you are not the original buyer of the vehicle, you will only be able to get a 3rd party warranty.

umm... I called my dealer and they are 100% ok with this..

I also asked Bruce of Becks (who sells 90% of the 3rd party warranties on this forum) and he confirmed this prior, stating you spend $200 inspection from MB, in addition to whatever you want to extend it to...

factor in mileage, time left, etc.. and how long you want it for of course

it is definitely different up here in Canada in terms of getting ELW after buying a car outside MB but hey you are able to get it in the States is all that matters

post pics when you get the car, and start making a mod list. here i will start one for you GL!

I just bought a 2012 C63 with 6,000 miles and the dealer gave me a 5 year 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty. A hell of a lot better than the new '12 GLK350 I traded in.
Plus they threw in two services. Think I'm happy with the deal.

I also feel like it might be more difficult in Canada but ill have to give it a shot in the next few months with various dealers.

I haven't even found 3rd party warranties for AMG models here, some even specifically single out AMG as invalid.
