I have had belt noise coming in from the engine bay after raising the rpms a bit. The sound is quite audible in the cabin when the car is in motion or otherwise and quite worrisome so I took the car to the dealer this morning and the SA said that the timing belt was about to come off. Whatever is the cause, I have been told that I will have to shell out for the belt replacement cost if replacement is deemed necessary since factory warranty has expired but extended warranty is in place. As a result, I have to shell out $170 for every diagnosis carried out. This is my first time dealing with any issue concerning the C63.
Does this sound like the norm when it comes to vehicles on extended warranty?
Any help will be hugely appreciated.
