You want to know the worst part?
Still has the MCT transmission!
Even though this was part of the release for the regular CLA
"Advanced dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles"

CLA45 AMG will be a 2.0T I4.
The new 550 engines are really 4.6 TT V8s. The 2013 C300 and C350 are both 3.5 V6 direct injection.

Why is that the worst part? The MCT is now proven to take well over 700 LB/Ft of torque and gets the new E63 to 60 in 3.5

Basically for such a refined luxury car you'd expect a smoother transmisison.

The CLA's DCT is designed for transverse engine packaging in its FWD platform with an integrated PTU for optional AWD. It will not work in a longitudinal RWD engine layout. There is no in house DCT yet for longitudinal layouts (the SLS DCT is outsourced).
