Reslove in a hand spray found in most stores is excellent...or just a little detergent and hot water will do it. Don't use dish soap, too much frothing and excess bubbles...doesn't rinse out easy

I always err to the side of caution. a bit of mild detergent with warm/hot water... and gently work out the stain.
but what kind of stain is it? might help us recommended a product for it.
