Long tube header install with engine out of car

Does anyone know 100% for sure if the engine can be put back in with MHP long tube headers attached on both sides?

Im thinking it might be easier to pull the engine to do the headers, head bolts and blower install.

I would ask George Smooth, he had the engine out of the car and had pictures of the headers on it. Weistec also assembles the headers with the engine out of the car.

I'm just quoting from pictures ive seen. However it might have been just a test fit, probably a safe idea to call Weistec.

That's what I thought with the Tri Y, but they look different from the c63 headers they make. I think that's a CLK BS they were made for. Just curious as to what is different about them and what the design advantages were?

Does headers George has are not MBH. And his are bigger then 2inch primary's .

To answer your question I recall George saying something about having to unbolt the subframe to get the motor in with the headers on.

I got it in with both sides on. I had to drop the subframe a little on the one side and jack the car higher whilst wheels where on the ground. Loosen the other side as well a bit and dont let the subframe hang too much. If I had to do it again I would still put manifold on outside the car. I think its impossible to tighter correctly in car but I guess its relative to the branch size and design. Also remember I had the tranny on as well.
I suggest branches on, supercharger off as it causes angle problems against the sidewall when you want to pitch the motor for branch clearance.

I'm sure that we can put the engine and do the MHP header then put everything back without any problem! The benifit is that you can keep the heat shield of engine mount by "re-shaping" them!

Have no idea if it's still easy to do blower installation before putting the engine+header back!

Im late but i installed MHP long tubes on my garage floor with to jack stands, a jack, and basic hand tools. Wasn't to bad and was very doable. I recommend having a friend with a lift you can use.

That being said i wouldn't do it again on the floor.
