No Fly Zone Airstrip Event - 2013 C63 P31 vs 2013 F10 M5

Had a great time at the No Fly Zone Airstrip Event this past weekend, and much thanks to Tony for putting on a great event.

Here's my new 2013 C63 P31 Sedan (bone stock) vs 2013 F10 M5 (bone stock)

http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=FBIeOmdzVJo&feature=plcp
I was quite impressed with my car's performance given it was bone stock with barely 1000 miles on the odometer.

Next event is the Shift Sector Airstrip Attack 4/6-4/7, and by then I hope to have longtubes and a tune.

Enjoy!

Your car runs very strong! I saw you race that other C63(red) with a tune and other mods and you still pulled on him. Get some long tubes and really let her breathe!

Thank you! Which car did you have out there? Was it the chrome wrapped c63?

Longtubes and a tune are on their way for the Shift S3ctor event.

Nice run! At first (until I watched the vid) I thought you were making a funny by posting the video of the Stage 3 Weistec supercharged Black Series vs the white F10 M5 and claiming it was your stock P31. lol

Finally some vids of the oct equipped C63 ! I really think its a game changer with the much faster shift times and IMO less drivetrain loss

I have a 2012 coupe non PP didn't do a baseline run but installed EC V4 tune, Evosport under drive pulley, bmc filters, charcoal delete and TTM Airbox ala ROW air box plus other non Power related mods and with that put down from 465-475 to the wheels on a dynojet on a 93 octane tune here in the Power friendly Sea level winter NY air ! Since I've deleted secondary cats and loaded a 100 Octane tune and will re dyne once again ... Also just ordered MBH headers with mids and x pipe so it will be interesting to see what us bolt on MCT guys put down in comparison to the 7G cars with similar mods .. If my first dyne was indicative of anything it shows it should be a good amount better as it was done at the exlusice dyne shop that bruce from TTM uses and he even guessed before hand that it'd be 445-450 MAX since he's had cars with almost the same exact set up at the same dyno with the 7G.

Either way dyne numbers are cool and all but i know were all looking for times to back it all up .. I want to run the car on stock manifolds first to get a good baseline then throw on the MBH goodies

I recently made a thread about getting a drag strip setup if you know of any available or can point me in the right direction of getting a new pair bought with appropriate sizes please help a fellow MCT'er out

Nice run Eric. We should have a tuned M5 with Downpipes at the Shift-S3ctor event, you can run that one as well.

Thanks Drew. My upcoming longtubes and tune should make for an interesting race against a tuned F10 M5.

Nice run. People are always surprised when I pull on their cars that should be faster than mine.

Wow, Great run!

P31 C63 really that much faster than a M5? I'm pretty surprised at the result. Are you on 91 Octane or 100 Octane?

Interesting I thought the new m5 was much quicker than a stock c63...that means the p31 c63 should trap around mid-120s stock now?

I mixed a few gallons of 100 with 91, so was probably running equivalent of 93-94 octane.

Great race and win for the C. There is another video on the forum where a white M5 pulls quite a few buses on a tuned C.
Not sure for your race if this is due to this M5 not being on the right settings or not kicking it down at the cone.
The new M5 stock is quicker and faster than any stock Cs.

Stock f10 m5's run trap around 118-120, and p31 c63 about 116-118. So while the result is a bit surprising, it's certainly possible if I got a factory freak and he got a Friday car.

Very nice run! I pulled against the new F10M5 from a roll last summer vs my 2012 P31 C63 Sedan! I was also very surprised.

Could be close at the 1/4 mile but the M5 would pull on the C after it with the better DCT transmission and higher horsepower.

There was another new gray F10 M5 with exhaust at the event that I raced. Very cool guy that owns the car. He beat me by a couple of cars, but only because he jumped me at the start. By the end of the race I had actually stopped his pull on me! Even start would have produced a very close race. See thread below for his mention of our run.

Believe me, many people at the event, including myself, were very surprised by the performance of the stock p31 c63.

What does this comment mean...

Keep in mind that this C63 sedan had the special addition 510hp Black Series motor. Very rare car. The M5 would kill a standard C63 or a C63 with the option Performance Package option.

What extra option did you get?

Nice run man!!

Go post this on M5 Board, they were all giving me a hard time for raping this guy with my C BS even though this guy came looking to run me LOL. They all think a stock M5 will spank a stock C63 LOL....I guess you proved them wrong.

Thanks Jim. Your cars put on some truly epic performances out there. Hope to see you at Shift Sector next month.
