thinking of selling...

So I'm going to be starting a family soon and feel that the C might be a little cramped for the me, the wife, the irish wolfhound, the baby an all the fixings(strollers, diaper bags, etc...) I'm thinking I'll look for an E63, maybe even a wagon! If I decide to go REALLY crazy I'll get a GT-R and a Volvo wagon for the wife and family LOL.

If you might know anyone interested let me know. Here are the details:

2009 C63
33,200 miles (so far)
Tenorite Grey with black interior
As far as I can tell it's has everything except the performance package.
It has a Velos tune which I am very happy with.
the car comes with OEM rims and tires (I will have the check the thread) and a set of winter rims (tire rack 18x8 all around on 225s)
The car comes with a Zurich warranty (platinum coverage) which covers everything the OEM does and then some! valid for 3.5 more years and up to 75K miles. The warranty was 6k+.
Up to date on all services (less than 200miles ago)

The only issue with the car was that my wife struck a metal object parking in a driveway at less than 1mph that caused a tear in the from bumper. I have purchased a new bumper and it will be painted by a VERY good body shop here in the DC area.(I've been holding out till the weather gets a little nicer to install it). I also have a CF front lip that will be installed with the new bumper.

Before any sale, the car will be detailed inside and out professionally. I never sell a sub par product.

As for price i'm not too sure what to ask for ... seing I'm offering the sale with extras. Does 42k sound fair?

Thanks guys,

JF

my wife bananas! :D
gratz on starting a family! exciting times indeed!

from the post, it seems like you are actually just ready to move on from the C63 than needing a larger car (since you mentioned GTR + volvo wagon ). since you have a 09 and if you were the original owner, yup i think its about that time

imo get your wife a good baby mover she wants... that will leave you free to get whatever you need We have a GLk for baby moving duty but will probably move into a GL next year when we need more space.

your mom
Try the GL. Just replaced my wife's E550 with the GL.

If your wife is okay with a wagon, then I would highly recommend an E63 or hell vn a CTS-V wagon.

Check autotrader for comps within 200 miles. There was not much out there last time I looked. You may get lucky.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.

"Irish Wolfhound & Baby", in the backseat??......Ha ha ha.....that would be a very funny situation, but like you say, perhaps not very practical?
I agree the C63 would be VERY cramped. There's only the two of us, so it's fine, but even then, when we're travelling, with luggage in the boot, a few odds & ends on the back seat, there's not much space left.
Cheers, Pickles.

WOW that seems like a great deal you got ... like you said though, that's better than auction price and mine has a fair amount less mileage and comes with a warranty!

I will look around to see what prices are like in the 200miles range.

Thankfully he is mixed and only weights about 90lbs. I've had to take him to the vet one or twice in the car(i've got a bulletproof setup with door guards, heavy blankets and hammock of sort for the back seat .... a paint bucket could explode in the back seat and it wouldn't have a chance to dirty even the slightest part LOL) but I will say ... the dog may have to run next to the car if a baby seat was in there ... or take him up front

I'd hold the higher price with the warranty and winter set.... Or sell the winter set seperately here.

I mean, I know it's the dark side, but... x5m's are sweet! Idk if you like SUV's though based on the cars you've mentioned.

I bought my 2009 with 16K miles, leather package, premium sound and otherwise pretty standard; in like new condition, 10 months ago from a dealer that was asking 44k. Got it for 42k after a lot of haggling, with only 16 months warranty left on it.
So yours with 33k miles and one more year on the calendar seems bit high for 42.

Wow seems like you got a good deal on your C63 however I'm not sure I completely follow you. You bought yours 10 months ago with 16months left of warranty. so you have 6 months left... I stated that I have 3.5 years left. So essentially 3 more years than yours. It might seem that in comparison to yours, mine might be expensive, however they market you are in might be different than mine and I don't think you can compare they deal you got on your car to the norm. If I remember correctly there is a member here that purchased a new 2011 as old stock fully loaded for 56k. The reason I'm referencing that member is that in his view, you buying a 2009 for 42k might not have been a bit high. All in all I think I'm offering a good overall package at a fair price point. And as alwasy I'll be willing to discuss pricing with potential buyers.

One thing is for sure ... both you and I have a great car! One that I will be sad to part with

Not sure if this helps, but, I am picking up my 09 hopefully this Wednesday... 28k miles, essentially same options, and got it for 42k before taxes... So, I'd say you're on the money.

2012 C63 AMG
Im from Toronto and yes the markets are different, I don't know of a c63 that sells for less than 40k, the car is still on warranty, an 09 sold in my dealership for 50k, not loaded, with 70k Kms, so I figured buying a new 12 justify s the price point, all relative, your price is bang on , people will pay for that thing

Clean car bro.. Too bad it wasn't white. The extended warantee is what makes your price about right. GLWS

OK so the wife and I talked this evening and we came up with the following 2 choices:
1- get a used Volvo v70r that I will make new if you will and a GT-R, let's be honest, for me.
2- get an E63

Basically what I'm saying is that the car is officially for sale

Offers are welcomed but I'm pretty set on my price as a total package.

Option 1 seems to be the one to follow. Not for the cars but for the principle of having a family car and a toy car for you

I bought (and in hindsight, overpaid) from Autotrader at the dealer. Post both.
