Silver C63 in Fremont, CA---> Hey wait a minute...
I was just going to turn into the Canyon from Niles, and saw this Silver AMG badged C Series. As, I caught up to it, It appeared that the, "C63" part of the Badging was gone. I assumed so that he didn't want anyone to know what exactly he was driving. Then as I got closer, I noticed that there is only a set of mufflers on the Drivers side of the car?
My wife asked if there were C63's that had only 1 exhaust, like the Early E36 M3's which had a Dual exhaust but they both came out of the Drivers Side Muffler pack... I just laughed and took the picture...

Besides the fact that the quad tips are one of the defining parts that differentiate the C250/300/350 from the C63 AMG.... It's basically him just trying to make his none-AMG look like an AMG

Non AMG bumper.
I hope you guys don't see me driving around in my 07 S550 with quad exhaust conversion, but I mean if its a problem I can always go back to my house and pull out the 06 S65 to satisfy your needs. But yes I was trying to make my AMG-packaged 550 look like an AMG exhaust wise only. No engine swap, no side badge or trunk.

You should probably say that to Eisenmann who came out with a quad tip exhaust system for the C250. They must be supporting "posers" then.

Eisenmann is just catering to a market. Poser cars make me laugh, but I'd certainly sell parts to someone willing to be laughed at.

Can't tell you how many people, including fellow AMG owners, would call me a poser when I had my CLK55 cabriolet because it didn't have quad exhausts lol that said it did get quite annoying educating idiots
Also never understood the obsession around here with posers, I just try to be happy with what I have, don't give a f*ck what others think about it, and let them be

CLK's didn't get quad exhaust until the 2005 model, and then only on the coupes. The cabriolets like my 2006 and even 07-08 CLK63's all came with two on the left. The only CLK's in the US to get quad exhaust is the 2005 CLK55 coupe and 2008 CLK63 BS as there were no coupes in 06 or 07.

Definitely, life's too short to care about what other people think. If I'm labeled as a poser simply for having quad tips then I'll gladly take the label. I should probably slap on an AMG badge and the 6.3 side emblems while I'm at it. Maybe the Project C widebody kit so I can be a BS poser

Here's my question. Why buy the AMG Quad Exhaust with the AMG bumper and all of that instead of just buying an AMG. I understand that it's a money thing but its the same as when I had a mustang. Why the heck would you put the GT badge on a V6 mustang. If you want the badge/recognition/quad exhaust then pony up and get the AMG model. Other wise I agree, be happy with what you have and don't try to make it look like something you dont.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I really don't see a problem with anyone who customizes their car to make it look better. If I couldn't afford a C63 and got the standard C class, I may have done the quad exhaust and other mods to make it more to my taste.
The only thing that really grinds my gears though is when the person trys to pass it off as an AMG. Like the other day I saw a standard C300, no mods at all in fact except for rims and painted brake calipers (standard ones at that) with full on C63 and AMG badge. THAT is not right. But for anyone who either debadges or keeps their standard badge whatever they do to make the car their own, more power to them.

Don't spend money buying an AMG badge unless you swap the C350 for an AMG engine.
