Not my cup of tea. I don't understand why contrasting stitches are so popular.

I think it depends on what you're matching it to. I think True Religion jeans look tacky, but I like the contrast stitching...maybe because it's not as in-your-face, or maybe because it's done by hand so it looks better. I'd like it better if it were a racing color, like red, to compliment a red-accented interior. That way it would be noticeable, but not as bold as black on white. Maybe you don't like it because it's everywhere across the dash.

What about here?

What about here?

This Aston Martin interior looks much better because it's more refined and the stitches aren't so "in your face" as you said.

I agree that True Religion jeans look tacky - same with this interior for me.
The stitches are too thick but I presume someone chose them for a reason - to make them more visible.
