Advise on the offset

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of getting some 19" HREs for my C63 and I cannot decide on the offset.

My question is:

Taking into count 19" and wide tires ( Mich. PSS), how much smalller I can go from the stock offset (I think +45mm front and +54mm back) without having to say "F**K!" on every single pothole when the wheel would hit the fender?

Thanks,
Andrey

Go 19x8.5 +40mm (+38mm would be more flush) with 245/35/19 PSS.

Rear, I'd recommend 19x9.5 +52mm if u want to run wider tires like 275/30/19 PSS.. If u can settle for 265/30/19, u can do 19x9.5 +50mm like my HRE.

To give u an idea, I was rubbing on the passenger rear with my +50mm on 275/30, that's why I recommend u +52mm. Good luck!

Isn't HRE recommending an offset?

^^ they do, but it all depends on the customers preference, some like the flush look while others like the conservative look.

I went with their recommendation, although my first choice was 19x10 +55mm so I could run 275/30.. I regret not going for it from the beginning cuz now I had to go down to 265/30.

Would a little fender rolling have helped. I have 19x10s with ET50 with no issues....but you're slammed right?

Lol, I wish I could roll the fenders & run 285/30! I heard the fenders might separate from the inner metal sheet causing rust in the long term, so I'm kind of in doubt.

I'm not slammed, just on springs.

Edit: are u lowered callmiro?

Thanx for the input,

that's what I was looking for. I will have to buy the whole setup anyways, rims and tires, so what would you reccomend? have a +52mm and 275 tires or +50mm with 265?

What's a fender rolling?

I got +24mm in the back right now, big mistake lol.

That's why I'm looking for new set

Nah man...i'm on a '09 P30 suspension, so it sits a little lower already, then stock

Fender rolling rolls the inner lip of the fender up, so it doenst rub against a tire on compression...it gives the tire some space to tuck up higher

It won't work if your tire sticks out past the fender edge....like your ET24

It is really up to ur preferences. Meaty tires for traction vs flush wheels? U can look at my HRE thread to see what 19x9.5 +50 w/275-30-19 looks like. I just changed to 265-30-19 before winter cuz it was annoying to rub in the rear. They look like the 275, just a bit thinner (stretched).

I still believe 19x10 +55mm with 275/30 PSS would work like a charm w/o rubbing.

Look really good! And you never had problems with having people in the back in terms of rubbing?

i'm running 19x9+40 with 235/35/19 tires up front and 19x10+52 with 265/30/19 with zero rubbing lowered in H&R springs. Tires are Michelin PSS.

you're more than welcome to check out my specs on my sig and my threads. I don't rub much at all. Good luck!
