Is the new one faster than the old one?

Differences are new MCT transmission in newer models which have faster/crisper shifts also can be jumpy around town in low gears.

But besides that are essentially the same car.

I'm sure others on here will know better than me but from the reviews I've read - top speed the same, still limited to 155 or 174 with P31. Braking and handling basically the same, with the 2012+ being slightly more neutral. And in acceleration C&D found the 2012 to be .2 quicker to 60, .5 quicker to 100, and 1/4 mile .2 quicker/3mph faster. So I guess the answer might be yes and no

Short answer to your question - yes.

I test drove a 2012 and feel that the tranny is def. better but overall minimal difference.
