Hey Guys,
So I've an 08 C63 with 70,000kms on now. Obviously the 08 risks the headbolt issue. So far, mechanically, I have removed the resonator and secondary cats and replaced with straight pipes and have had an OE Tune done to it.
Now I am thinking about creating a monster of sorts and thinking about headers and possibly much more. My issue is that I don't want to invest some cash on this car only to suffer the headbolt issue and be completely fu*(£(d.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this or check if it's gonna happen or is it really just playing Russian roulette?
Thanks

Is this headbolt issues something to really worry about? Could buying Weistec's head studs put you at complete easy and allow you to not worry about the headbolt issue? If so I would say it would be best $900 bucks spent to keep your mind at ease. Correct me if I am wrong, I have been contemplating getting them just for this reason.

Considering that other components like gaskets or seals would likely be replaced at the same time, it's possible that the new Weistec studs are a silver bullet, but your cost is parts only. Once you factor in labor, it's more like $4-5k from what I've heard.

if you are so paranoid about the headbolts replace them. Although i dont think you can afford a monster if you are so worried about them. nice headers are like 4k$

Thanks guys
I can get custom headers, custom exhaust etc cheap. Why would I spend $4000 only to have to pay more than double that or so to fix up the engine bay if the headbolts go? I may have a little money but am not stupid. If there's some way I can prevent it which isn't going to cost an arm and a leg, I'd consider it.

Oh and would really appreciate if you let me know the labour man hours needed to replace the headbolts? Labour out in Dubai is cheap and from what I've read, headbolts are cheap. I may look into swapping them but want to know the man hours needed approximately. Thanks
