I broke my fuel door off today. Can anyone point me in the direction of a fair priced new or used one? My local MB dealer want over $400.

I was washing the car and backed myself into the open fuel door. It is attached very much like the light washer cover in that it slides and locks in position on the hinged portion of the fuel cap/door assembly.

I just found a new one for $124...I'll probably get it and have it primed and painted. Then sell the car. I hate black paint! I am going to polish it out again with Sonix Finsihing polish and then coat the car in 22PLE, but I'm still going to put it on the market.

i hear you about the black paint! it's a full-time job trying to keep that thing clean and scratch-free.

meh i love my ob black paint. sure it is a pain to keep clean and especially now i am more lenient with its cleanliness, its still a great colour!

Damn, $400, I threw mine in the recycle with the body of the old car thinking no one is going to want a gas cap door lol.
