Dads C63 Engine for SALE
I eluded to this fact in another thread so I thought I would put it out there. I am looking at taking a new route with my car engine but need to sell mine in order to make that happen.
My motor has less than 30,000 miles on it.
I know its been 30,000 mostly 1/4 mile at a time but its been meticulously maintained by Jerry at Jerry's MB Service locally and continually checked. In fact, it was just gone over this past week because I'll be running Daytona April 11th and 12th and it needed a check up.
It recently was dyno'd on a Mustang Dyno at PRS in Sanford Florida which is where I get the custom stuff done. The guys there told me to expect a number about 10% lower than what we usually get on a dynoJet so I was expecting something around 475. First pull was 504 which shocked me and the guys there. We did three back to back pulls to verify it and it was 504, 496, 498 back to back on a Mustang dyno. On the DynoJet I got 530 so the numbers are consistent and strong.
It has the MHP race ported heads, cams, thermostat, and intake gaskets.
From what I have seen a stock 63 AMG motor will sell for around $15,000. I will sell mine shipped anywhere in the USA for $19,000. Trust me, over half that is the heads and cams cost along with all the R&D that it took to make it happen.
Time to move on to something new.
I'll keep you informed as time progresses if I sell mine.
Let me know what you think and if you are interested.

Just an FYI:
Stock AMG block = $10,000
Stock AMG Crankshaft = $3,000
Stock AMG Cylinder Heads = $3,000 each.
Stock AMG Pistons/rings = $700 each.
Then you have assembly involved. Mine comes assembled, complete, proven, and ready to run.

I hear there are couple of black market SLS Black Series motors floating around, my guess Keith is buying one of those.
But then there is the whole dry sump issue......hmmmm. Whatever it is I am sure it is going to be sick.

Keith,
Do you have to run soooo fast so no one can come even a little bit closer to you! Haha! Can't wait to learn what the next step is!

Thanks guys!!
No interest so far.
I'm kinda surprised. I know a buyer will need to be a certain type of individual/racer that wants all out N/A performance but I thought with a new stock engine being north of $40,000 mine with all the goodies for half that would sell. Oh well, if its meant to be.
