Any ideas what this is? Google was not very helpful. Its showing as a historic fault.

Seems like a mercedes specific code. Call the dealer, they should be able to tell you
Edit: Look at the other thread.. "Help with CEL xxxx...." There is a picture posted with 3699. Fuel pressure control: the upper limit value reached.
