Was looking on here for a DIY on this and couldnt find out. So i decided to make my own for everyone.

Awesome vid!
I started with pulling the mirror glass out of the housing and that made all the clips underneath accessible.

Great vid! I did this about a month or two ago but I had to go off pics and well, I was terrified of breaking the glass but all went well. This vid would have given me peace of mind.

Glad I could help guys.
I also have a side note that I want to put along with the video. After doing the modification my blind spot assist disabled itself. Don't worry all you have to do is go through your main menu and do a factory reset on all settings. After the reset the blind spot assist became enabled again.
LEDs were purchased at superbrightled.com. You then search by application.

I haven't started researching LED courtesy lights yet, care to throw up a link to where you got them?

Yup those are them!
Now keep this in mind.... please. DONT use these in your headlamps or side markers. They will cause the car to think the bulbs are burnt/bad. You need to use CAN BUS bulbs. You will find them on the same site. Same idea but they make the car think they have the regular type bulb still installed. I have these type in my car now, they work perfect and look great but the car asks me to check the bulbs. I just clear the message out and that's that.
I have had 0 problems with these in my mirrors, and all my interior bulbs. They haven't thrown any lights or problems.

That was a fantastic vid and thanks for posting. I am changing out my CLS side mirrors with CF replacements and now I think I can do it myself.

Great video. I was going to pay the shop to change out my mirror covers with the CF replacements but now I will do myself. Thanks for saving me an hours+ labor charge! Really appreciate it.

i have leds for everything not to mention, full interior kits that are easy to use, just break them off and install! they come on a large board and snap off easily. pretty cool stuff, i know some people like a brighter interior

I actually tried to pull the OEM covers out, but trust me it's on tight. I was hoping to remove the glass mirrors first. Anyone done it this way?
