Smile Making 500+HP in a stock C63?

Hello,
I realize that I probably won't be able to afford the new 507 edition of the C63. But I wanted to know how difficult it would be to do some tuning/modifications/bolt ons to a stock c63 to get it to beyond 500+ hp. I would want to keep the motor normally aspirated, but just curious on how much you'd need to do, and how much it would cost. Thank you in advance!

Sincerely,
Dan Maldonado

it would cost you the price of a tune.

the c63 M156 engine is detuned from the factory.

Sounds about right. Roughly $1000. and if you really wanted you can save the $6K of the development package and with the aftermarket tunes make more power.

500HP at the wheels?

Tune, headers, intake got me to 483 at the wheels. A race tune with headers and intake had dodger at 500+ at the wheels.

Hello,
So I can basically get a used c63 making 451hp, get it tuned and get over 500+hp at the crank? Any suggestions on a model year to look for? What year was LSD available, and it is really expensive to make an open rear car have LSD? Thank you so much for the responses, they were really helpful.

Do some research, I would recommend getting a hand held programmer from Eurocharged, I promise you will be happy with the results and ease of tunning. (Assuming you dont mean 500whp horse power)But you should really do some reading and research to be able to make your own judgments and opinions. Topics like this have been discussed over and over again with very useful and informative details.

Good luck

Long Tube Headers + X-pipe - $3k
ROW Airboxes with filters - $600
Custom Dyno Tune - $1k
Quaife LSD + install - $1500-$1700

Total Cost - $6100-6300

Should give you 490-500+ RWHP
Race gas tune over 500+

Isnt that a bit high? I would think a little lower then that I guess it depends on the dyno. But still I think 500rwhp is a bit high

I know of two cars without ROW boxes that put down 486 and 490 with just longtubes and a tune, both cars from BenzWorks using a dynodyanmics.
