Painted my calipers awhile ago and I ****ed up but only on one side!!! Hahaha... What you guys think? Redo it or leave it since my HRE C20s will mostly block the sticker anyway

what did you mess up? looks fine to me, unless logo is supposed to be the other side.

The logo is flipped 180 degrees. Me, being the OCD/perfectionist that I am, I'd redo it.

I'm cursed with an eye for detail and ears of a musician. Therefore, a lot of stuff most people wouldn't notice drives me nuts. How hard is to to peel off the sticker, respray, and reapply new sticker properly? It isn't like you have one shot in all of ever to get it right. Just when you find you have a day and get it done. I wouldnt be surprised if the sticker peeled off well enough that the paint hardly had to be touched up at all.

I opened this thread think either a big ticket or wreck. Glad to see it was just a little cosmetic goof

I think folks usually clear coat the calipers once the sticker is on...so he can't just peel it off.

4 coats of clear so i have to sandpaper it bigtime !

Wow those turned out great! I personally would re-do the emblem so they are the right direction. It would drive me crazy just knowing even if I couldn't see them. We should meet up one day would love to see your car in person, it really inspired me with ideas for my own car.

Sanding it is! Just redo it when you have the time because you know it'll drive you crazy until then.

But you guys think i can just redo that rectangular part where the stickers are? Theres edges/lines it will hide the respray so i dont have to redo the whole caliper.

If you are OCD I would redo the entire caliper. If you can see the line from the rectangle after its done it's going to bug the crap out of you...which would make you redo the whole caliper anyways :p

redo it man.. you go to meet ups, shows, even in a parking lot and if people notice it, you always have to tell them why.. ;-) i'll redo this.. being the same OCD person that i am when it comes to my cars..

Here's the thing though. Most people will never notice, but the people whose opinions matter to you will. Car guys will know, and your friends will torment you about it forever. i would redo it. even if 99% of the ppl wont notice... you know its backwards and everytime you look at your car, you will zero onto it

I have a friend who helped/charged me... Its a spray paint (IDK what brand) he said its Lambo Red and used an airbrush for automotive clearcoat... He charged me $120.... He might charge you $140 to install the right direction AMG sticker! Lol
