waste of time buying drag radials w/o limited slip???
My name's Jeff, I just bought a C63 and I'm a "straight line" performance kind of guy. I found, and purchased a nice 2012 with low miles, but it did not have the "limited slip" option that I wanted so bad. I do plan on installing a limited slip diff. eventually, but not right at the moment. Anybody out there do better with drag radials with their "open diff. C63" as apposed to street tires on the same open diff.? If so, what brand, what size for the stock 18" rims?

I may be mistaken, but a set of proper drag tires can cost you close to what that LSD would cost.
You looking for track only tires or tires that are good for both track and street?

I seen a "wavetrac" limited slip diff. that costs about 1,050.00. Pretty steep for these cars. the drag radials for 18" rims shouldn't be much more than 500 for both,

There has been discussions about this if you search.
Open diff seems to be of little or no disadvantage in a straight line.

In a straight line with a RWD vehicle? Are you serious? I'll search it just in case. I remember a nitroused 99 mustang adding nearly 3 tents to his ET's when his clutch packs on his limited slip diff finally went out during an eighth mile event. Replaced them and consistently recaptured his old ET's.
