Does anyone have failed M156 head bolts? I am not asking about the issue of failing head bolts. I need to get my hands on actual head bolts that have snapped off or corroded... at least one.

buy a bolt, stick it some water, coolant, acid for a week, then break off the head and voila

Check the sticky. Don't know if the techs chuck them out when they change them or send them back to MBZ.

If they're anything like BMW, MBZ will want the replaced parts back. I had sizable warranty repairs to an M3 and M5. In each case I asked to keep some parts but was told the dealership was required to send them all back to BMW.

Andrey, once you get the bolts have the guys studying the Oakland Bay bridge failure look at them. Sounds like some of the C63 issues. By the way did you get any yet?
