Velos tuned C63 Estate vs. M5 E60 (no vid)
Yesterday I ran into a matte grey M5 E60 on a "german no-limit" highway and we had some fun on the left lane.
We ran up to 250km/h multiple times and I have to say I am really impressed with the M5.
I presume the car was stock. I have a Velos tune and the M5 pulled away veeery veery slowly.
In the corners I gained the distance without any problem. Either the driver was a rather straight-line racer or my H&R coilovers are doing their job.

Thanks Keith.
Yeah it was fun, especially considering that is has been the first dry and warm day of this year. I could finally enjoy the new power.
BTW does the power increase look right to you?
Or should I be looking for a higher gain from a tune?

Yes, they are the numbers before and after.
I know they seem very low but that's how this dyno works.
I have checked my car's performance using RaceLogic and I can see there is a great improvement.
Unfortunately I used km/h instead of mph so it's going to be hard to compare to other results here.
Stock:
100-200 km/h 10,0 sec
50-150 km/h 7,2 sec
Tuned:
50-150 km/h 6,2 sec
100-200 km/h 8,6 sec
Just as reference, here is a dyno from Prindone who has a 2008 C63 Estate in Belgium.
Stock and tuned + primary cat delete + resonator delete + 2nd cat delete.
It showed the exact same result when the car was stock:

feel the power on the street. 8.6s from 100 to 200 Km/h is great!
So I think everything is alright with your C63 ...
... and the M5 was tuned - maybe headers / exhaust?

Thanks Daniel
I was disappointed when I first dyno'ed my car but when I checked the performance with my racelogic I didn't care about it any more.
The M5 didn't sound like it had headers or exhaust. So probably it had a tune.
Which tune do you have?

That sounds pretty fast but the fastest tune-only car on MBWorld ran 8,66sec 60-130 mph (96-208 km/h).
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...30-record.html
So if you say your car is faster 100-200km/h than 8,2 sec, you should check it with a performance box

The driver from the other car raced another C63 with tune and won by two lengths so its possible that my tune is a really good one.
The car from the link would be under 8 sec from 100-200 kph.
