Lowering vs Front Lip
I would like to know people's opinions about this: should I invest in coilovers (lowering) or get a front lip (most likely CF)?
I was going to eventually get both, but I had a mishap the other day in the Bay Area and scraped the crap out of the stock front bumper's underside, that made me reconsider this.
If you were to get one or the other, what would you prefer?

The cost in those two are significantly different. CF lips run $4-500 where as a set over coilovers is over 2k.
I would even consider doing springs + lip both at the same time.
If I had to chose, however, I'd go with coilovers and worry about the lip later. By the sound of it it was just under the car that was damaged so you can't really see it anyway.
Remember - when you lower it the wheels will appear to stick further inside the wheel well if you have oem wheels so you may consider spacers as well

my wife bananas! :D
too really different things.
the lip does help the front look more aggressive. really just an aesthetic item
the coilovers or springs lowers the car so there is less gap between the tire and fenders (aestheical reason). on the side profile, it will look better while a lip wont change this. however, lowering a car has actual performance benefits as well. using coilovers/springs lowers the center of gravity for your car. this is desirable as this means less weight transfer when the car goes into a corner. you will actually feel a difference.
If you are picking one or the other. lower it for sure

All of these lips are made with either FRP or CF. Too bad no one makes a urethane lip. Basically they shatter upon impact with the pavement. So, if you lower and add lip, you gotta be VERY careful coming out of driveways. Not worth my trouble.

Thank you everyone for your input! I do realize that there's a huge price difference between the two and are not comparable, but I just wanted to know people's preferences.
I was inclined towards the coil overs as well. However, I didn't realize that lowering the car on stock wheels will require spacers. Is there a maximum that the car can be lowered without requiring spacers? I'm not too mechanically-inclined when it comes to these things.
olszowa12 - Your car is beastly! How do you drive that thing around without getting stuck on speed bumps, or digging a hole into your driveway??

Not worth lowering the car plus the lip. I had a lip on my car and got damage multiple times going through my garage ramp and also through the 8" speed bumps at my work.
