Conclusion to my ADV Story (Loads of Pic)

Original Post:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...loads-pic.html

Once the incident happen, ADV.1 responded me right after in the afternoon of the next day and set up a pick up to send them back to their factory. It took around a week for them to receive it, considering from NY to LA. They figured out the problem, which they carelessly assemble the front center to the back and the rear to the front, so its basically an easy fix. It only took them 4 days to get it done and ship it back to me. After a week of shipping again, I got the wheels back and they came up great wif the PSS tires. To conclude, ADV have done fabulous customer response this time, and I hv to give them a big thumbs up!!
Mods Done so Far: Vorsteiner CF Front Lip, Vorsteiner CF Side Skirt, OEM CF Mirrors, Mode Carbon CF Trunk Spoiler & Front Splitter, JL CF Diffuser, MA Carbon Full Carbon Interior Kit, ADV 15 Trak Function, Revozsport CF Rear Apron & Front Vent
Alright, here are some pictures please enjoy!!

Damn I want your wheels. They look amazing.
Great that they took car of the issue so quickly.

I would drop the car a little lower but that's just my sickness

Please organize a propper photoshoot for your car. I want to see your wheels on close-up pics

Most importantly good to hear things worked out for you in a timely manner and that they actually came through vs the lack of satisfaction from so many others throughout the 360F days.

Nice overall setup as well on your C63!

Glad to hear everything worked out for you. I like the wheel design a lot however it appears the wheel is too wide for the tire you are running, unless you are going for that strecthed look. Hope you are not planning on tracking it.

Ok, I have to agree with 573whpcls Einstein, these drifters air up to 70psi and use their tires for one event. Stretching tires is dangerous and stupid and looks like crap in my opinion. Do a yourself a quick favor and research the adverse affects if strecthed tires.

I run stretched tires (43psi) on my car and have had no issues.
RS5's setup looks great and the stretch is minimal.

To each his own I guess....Let me know when F1, DTM, Grand Am and NASCAR start "stretching" their tires LOL

All he said was the stretch was minimal and it is still fully functional. Obviously said F1, DTM, NASCAR etc. don't stretch tires but since when are they concerned with a rubbing fender? I doubt the OP plans on banking around corners at 160mph or taking turns with so many lateral G's his organs end up on the same side of his body. Not to mention F1/NASCAR don't use 3 piece wheels...

I bet you could beat the living hell out of that setup and the first thing to go wouldn't be the tires due to them being "stretched" which they aren't.

For the OP's intentions it is more than perfectly fine. Google stretched tires and those will start to look like they a bulging out the sides.

RS5 -- Sweet looking ride you got there!

I actually have no choice, since I am pretty sure I would rub going with 275 at the rear....

Thanks for the info, and I need to double check about my tire pressures!

great to hear everything worked out! really quick turn around too. wheels look great. what offset is your rear? I have 275 on my adv rears and they dont rub. I'm not lowered though (yours looks like it?)

what exhaust is that btw. looks cool. and man I dont know if you've tried tracking the c63 but its great fun and I think drives better than RS5 (but I've only driven my friends, I dont own an RS5 like you)

Yeah, I would def run 275 if my car is not lowered. Really, I should try to track it once before I sell the car. Actually with the rs5, you could upgrade the sways and stabilzer and it will handle like a beast in corners.
The exhaust are the iPE valvetronic exhaust with blue tips!!

i saw ipe's with these blue tips on another members' car that is local to me. very very nice exhausts.

how are you lowered btw? just h&r springs? i didnt catch what offsets you have but i am running 10r lowered on springs with 275 using v12s. there is the odd slight rub when I am going fast and hit a large bump. otherwise no rubbing at all.

So let me see if I understand your logic, you decided to stretch your tire on a rim that is a inch too wide which will cause premature and improper tire wear due to an incorrect contact patch and cause adverse handling so you can fit a "275" tire rather than mounting the proper size wheel and 265 tire that will perform much better just so you can say you have a "275" under there. Your reasoning defeats logic Congratulations, probably one of the top 10 dumbest things I have read on this forum and believe me I have read some good ones.

^^ chill dude, OP tires are not that stretched.. U r talking like his wheels are sticking out like the VW crowd. Lol

I don't blame OP for playing safe, both of my aftermarket set had 275/30 & they both rubbed.. So I ended up selling 1 set & my second set, I had to trade my tires for 265/30.. Such a waste of time & money.

Congratulations for thinking that the tire is stretched and acting like he is racing it around like an F1 car

Since you know so much about how to properly fit tires on "rims" at least use the right term... wheel. Rims are 22's that go on 50 cent's "whip." Wheels go on AMG mercedes.

OP - Again, tire fitment is fine, don't let them talk yourself into worrying.

For reference... THIS is a stretched tire:

RS5, I'd watch out if I were you. You can die driving around town on these severely stretched tires

Some people like to play it safe and oldschool, others like it risky so they get more aggressively spec'd wheels.
Not all cars here are track toys.

Thanks for the reference PurpleHeart. You are totally right, we have proper wheels on our amg instead of those bling bling ghetto RIMS...

Thanks Meng for doing the justice, I have read lots of post about people rubbing on 275 lowered with springs....so I guess I wanna save couple hundred bucks and stick with the safe side..
