c63 brakes same as e63?
thought i read somewhere that some of the brake components were the same for c63 non-pp with w211 e63?
im more interested if brake pads are interchangeable as that would open up way more choices.
can anyone confirm?

I've owned both a 2007 E63 and 2010 C63, and I can tell you that the pads are interchangeable between cars. The only difference between the two cars are essentually the the rotors.

Bumping this up from the dead!
Mainly because I've got some C63 AMG calipers and wanted to know if theyd fit 2012-2016 E63 AMG S.
I know part number wise they are different, but does anyone know the technicals? By LOOKS they almost look the same......

brake calipers are not the same between the W211 and W204 but the pads and rotors are cross compatible.
i believe the calipers of the W212 and W204 are the same as the pads and rotors are cross compatible.

Based on vehicle fitment charts from Getmercedesparts.com my current front calipers (PN 204 421 47 98) look to only fit 2008-2014 C63 AMG. I am on the hunt for an E63 so I might hold onto these calipers for the time being. Then when I get the E63 I can do a fitment test.

fronts should work, i have the carbon brakes from the e-class on my c-class. I mean other than the fact i have a e-class rear drivetrain in my car so i can’t say for sure about the rear calipers fitting

nice!!! could you share more details on what parts needed to be swapped for the front conversion and rear driveline? pics?

Since we’ve touched a little on the W212, the front calipers and rotors are interchangeable but you’ll need the E63 carrier for the calipers to allow the C63 to run 390mm, or someone who makes adapters (like Epytec).
The rear calipers are the also interchangeable, but the carrier is integral and this means that either C63 would need 360mm rotors or the E63 would need to go down to 330mm rotors. The trouble with both is (and I can’t imagine anyone would downgrade an E63) is that the rotors are not interchangeable so, you have to buy (for the C63 at least) some hugely expensive rotors from Racing Brake or such.
