Suggestions: PCMCIA and memory card for 08 C63 AMG
I have a 08 AMG and was wanting to use the PCMCIA card reader for music. 2 part question.
1) What is a model or brand of PCMCIA adapter that will work and what is the biggest card that will read in the slot.
2) How do I get iTunes music on the card to read in the card reader? I have a mac if that matters.

First of all, don't, I mean DON'T get the PCMCIA card from Merc. That's an outdated one and will only recognize SD card, which has at most 2GB capacity.
You need an SDHC card and an SDHC-compatible PCMICIA reader. I use a SanDisk reader on my 09 C63 to read a 16GB(or 32GB, I forgot) and they work like a charm.

The advantage of using the card slot is that you can get the info to display on the main navi screen. Itunes is platform neutral so it doesn't matter if is a MAC or MS OS. Other than that, the factory Ipod cable works just as well, but no navi screen display on 08 and 09

I have an 09 and there is some control of the Ipod using the steering while buttons. The display is on the small center screen. It's not the greatest, but it does work. Unfortunately the system from the '10 cars which has a much better Ipod interface is not a firmware/software upgrade. (I had a 2013 C class as a loaner and the IPOD interface is fantastic as it displays album artwork and allows easy scrolling) The PCMICIA card will give you playlist and title display on the navi screen. It's just a lot of work to down load and organize everything onto the Sd card. Amazon will have what you need way cheaper than BestBuy.

By the way, perfect timing for this thread since I have been itching to find out which pcmcia card works. It's just awkward for MB to design it to use pcmcia. It's not like SD card have just come on the market. The recent one all just have a simple SD for less headaches.
