The widest front tires I've seen are 9", which is pretty small for such a heavy car. Has anyone got wider to fit with coilovers?

What offset did you use? What tires? You think 10s would fit up front?

A local guy here is running 19x9.5 all around (the Rays TE 37 Tokyo Time Attacks) without any issues as far as I know on his coupe lowered on H&R springs.

Awesome! A more squared setup is exactly what I'm looking for, especially on such a front heavy car. Do you know his offset and tire size/model?

Is that only with coilovers? What size/model tires? Thank you.

With BC Racing BR Type Coils, Lowered to the max.
Only way I saw to clear the coil strut was to stretch the tire with the height I was sitting at.
Nitto NT555 225/35 on a 19x9.5 +45
I would roughly estimate the clearance from the inside rim to coil strut is about an inch or less.

Would a 245 have fit if you were less slammed? Were you at the height that's pictured in your sig?

Really no negotiating of any sort.

Yes, 245 would fit on 9.5 at a flush height. It would not fit if you were tucking tire's.
The height in that sig were on drop spring's.

Just heard of a guy fitting 255s up front, as well. It's odd that this two ton car can't even hold the tires an S2000 can. 255 is something, though. That's good.

You think this can be done with 20in rims instead of 19 listed above?

Tires will appear to be stretched more on a 20" setup but otherwise it should be fine

My wheels are 20x8.5 in the front. I didn't get much rubbing with 235/30/20 tires, but it left the lip exposed to easy curbing. 245 is much better, but I get a little more rubbing with coilovers.

Here's what happened to my fender when you go too wide with tires on coilovers and you have a really steep driveway that makes your wheel do things it doesn't want to do.

I had to have it rolled back inside the fender. After the paint started to chip, I had to get it touched up. It still doesn't look 100%, but most people can't tell. I can because I'm OCD. The same thing just happened to the passenger side recently too. Some of the metal took a chunk out of my tire (not enough to cause a leak thankfully) but I'll get it all fixed tomorrow.

That's not good! I'm doing stretch tires on mine. With a H&r drop of .75" I don't have coilovers

Better measure everything out to the mm. There are some really bad roads up here in NorCal and even worse driveways for some businesses. That tweaked my wheel so much this happened twice now...once on each side.

He's working with me bud, I'm going to call HRE today and go over a few ideas

As long as the car is prepped for the wheels properly it shouldn't be much different from any other wheel setup
