Be careful, many states do not allowe a SALVAGE titled car to be registered for the street. If you are buying it for parts, it's expensive. Maybe to only use it for racing! Repaired cars after a collision might not have met industry/Insurance standards so they paid off insured and totaled. A REBUILT title on the other hand can be registered.......
Good luck.

It is also very difficult to insure a salvage titled vehicle.
I would give it a skip. Way too much money for a salvage title. maybe 25 to 30k, but no higher, and that would be to part it out and make a profit.
By law, they have to disclose the damage to the vehicle, which would include the reason for salvage. The only real reason I can think of for salvage, especially being Florida, is flood damage, or the vehicle was totaled due to frame damage that was deemed beyond normal repair. It will also probably never drive right, and I certainly would not use it for racing.. too many safety issues.

my wife bananas! :D
lol no. to salvage a car like the c63 especially when its a 2010... so not too long ago... the issue must've been pretty severe. Insurance only writes it off if the cost to fix is more than value of car and a 2010 even now is 40k+ (this one more due to P31)... This tells us that this car must've went through quite a bit of damage.
walk away and buy a normal c63. Our cars are expensive to maintain and this one here could really potentially hurt you

I'd stay away, the only person that wins is the original owner who needs to unload it, otherwise he would continue to drive it himself....
Spend the extra 7k and get a solid car.

My Friend has a Dealership and he buys Salvage Cars and repair them and then sell them.
here is how the salvage business works
if someone get into an accident and the amount that it will cost to fix the vehicle exceed 50% of the vehicle value the vehicle then becomes salvage an auction is held and a dealer or private wins it. they fix it go to state inspection (which is a joke they open the hood look at it for a sec then sometimes connect the car to a universal OBD2 to check for codes ask you if you didnt steal the parts that needed to be fixed and thats it)
after that the person can sell the vehicle.
just so you know no one will give you a loan for a salvage title car also to sell a salvage car is a *****. my friend is a dealer and even he has hard time.
now the most important is how it was fixed which you will never know but believe me they do cut corners because they try to maximize the profit. they will put not original parts or fix a broken parts. Believe me i seen what they do, and its a monkey business. i previously owned 2 salvage cars but i bought and fixed them my self. and if you fix the car your self and buy all original you will save maybe 5-10 % of same car but not salvage.
my Advise Stay away. put some more money and buy a clean title. if you cant afford a clean title c63 well...

A car with a "dubious" history, such as this one, would not be attractive to me.
But if I knew what had happened to the car, how it was repaired & by whom, then I suppose one could make a proper judgement.
As a prior poster has said, if you want to go further, you need to make these enquiries.
Cheers, Pickles.

I would spend a few thousand more to have a clean title on a c63. You'd regret the salvage title

yes a salvage title voids the factory warranty. As mentioned there are lots of corners cut. It typically takes 75-80% of the current vehicle or more in order for it to be totalled- for salvage. i've never seen a salvaged or heavily repaired car not have numorous things sooo soooo wrong. Dont waste your time, it will be a huge headache and p.o.s.

If you are getting warranty on it up to 100K, then whats the problem? Shave off a few grand more off the price and go for it...just because its labeled "bad" doest mean its bad and you might actually get a good deal...use your indie mechanic to verify and triple check.
Remember, great deals (and to be fair, crap deals as well) are always the ones that most people wont touch and tell you to stay clear so thats how investors make money on it, if you do your due diligence.

ssmotivex i guess you never owned a salvage car before. the mechanic can check it 10 times but if the frame was bent you cant repair it 100% so you may experience issues like the car pulls to left or right. and alignment wont help. and believe me if people dont buy it there is a reason. its not a coffee table that you buying, its a car an expansive one with electric and mechanic parts lots of them. i had 2 salvage cars and i would not recommend.

And I actually got lucky, long time ago my first car was flooded, the only thing that didnt work in the car was the stereo...so needless to say after swapping the stereo I enjoyed perfectly normal car for half the price for 2 years, and then sold it without a problem.

It is a moot point, no insurance company will touch a salvaged car for comprehensive insurance, at most, and your premiums will be sky high, they will sell you liability only, which means your car will not be insured, only the person you hit.
At the same time, if you ever get into an accident with a salvage title, whether or not it was your fault, you can be guaranteed that the other persons insurance company will fight tooth and nail to blame the accident on you..

All good points, but insurance, warrantee, car repaired/driving poorly doesn't matter as it is only a parts car and NOT able to be registered to be street driven anyways....
