I see this type of poser all the time in S. Florida. I'm usually too slow to snap a pic and once they see me in my real AMG they slow way down so I can't take one I did see this guy the other day, he even had the 6.3 on right the sides

You can throw a bunch of AMG parts in a regular MB, make it equally as fast, if not faster, but you really should leave the badge on your keychain or elsewhere, not on the car.

Yes, but if/when they get their *** handed to them in a daily commute hp display, the lesser car that wins will brag to its friends how bad they beat an AMG..

my wife bananas! :D
never affects us directly.
AMG already has a much lesser brand recognition than say ///M. having posers like this misleads the masses that AMG looks like this and the performance is subpar to a M. I've personally seen posers get destroyed by a real deal (example M3) and the ppl on the sidelines start believing BMW > MB by a wide margin....
thats why alot of ppl dislike it. they dont mind if a normal w204 gets the appearance treatment and looks like a c63.... just dont badge it as a c63 because frankly speaking... it is not.

I saw a C class with quad exhaust and AMG badges all over. In Houston.
Incidentally, I stop go Houston traffic, I ended up next to him and that's when he pulled his very highly tinted drivers side window up. Maybe he was ashamed of a REAL C63 pulling up next to him.

I really don't care what people do to their cars as it is their business.
However, what irks me about the numerous cars I see with AMG badging is, it falsely saturates the brand. I was parked in the mall parking lot the other day and saw 3 Mercedes badged AMG that were not (S550 and two E550's). I understand some dealers (not individuals) are doing this, but it makes the AMG brand feel less special. Plus, its not a true representation of what AMG creates. I can't tell you how many times I hear people tell me this one or that one drives an AMG too, just to see their car is a E350 AMG. This adds more cogency to my false over-saturation conclusion. I'm happy people love our cars enough to emulate them, I just wish they would keep the badging they currently have and strive to own the real deal one day. Just my 2 cents.
