18" vs 19" wheels

So I finally ordered my summer wheels from Tal at ACG and hope to have them here in the next couple weeks.

I am getting 19" CF5V's in gunmetal with orange calipers. I wish I had ordered them sooner, but it is what it is.

The tires will be Nitto NT05's 245/35/19 +42 offset front and 275/30/19 +50 offset rear. I was torn between the PSS and Nitto's and finally went with the nittos trusting Tal's recommendation.

I was wondering a couple things.

Do you need a different tune for 18" vs 19" wheels?

Does the difference in wheel size affect the speed of the vehicle? I mainly wondering about the drag strip?

I used to run my 18" tires at 25-26 PSI at the strip. What PSI would be best for 19's?

TIA for any input you guys can provide.

I just upgraded to 19s. No tune needed. You will have to reset the TPMS. Not sure what you mean by affecting the speed of the vehicle. If you change the circumference of the wheels/tires, your speedometer will not be accurate.

No tune needed, and no significant changes in the speedometer from ur 18's to 19's.

Are u lowered? I'm asking cuz 19x10 +50mm with nitto 275/30/19 will most likely rub. I would suggest u to do 265/30/19.

Thanks for responding. I was asking about speed as I was wondering if my times will differ in the 1/4 mile between using the 18's vs the 19's.

The car is not lowered and I specifically asked Tal if there would be rubbing with the 275's and he said no. I still might have time to choose different tires so if anyone else has had issues with rubbing please let me know.

At stock height, u will be fine.

What is the width of ur wheels? 19x9.5 or 19x10? I'm surprised Forgestar now makes +50, I thought they only had +48 & +52.

C63 Coupe
Youll be fine i have 19inch CF10's with a +48offset running 275 NT05's on the rear and havent rubbed at all. I also have a coupe and nobody ever goes in my backseat and i dont really put much in my trunk. It sits pretty flush love the way it looks.

Also keep the nt05's wow i changed to a quaife lsd with these NT05's and am in traction heaven ! They make a little more tire noise than id like but the grip when warmed up more than makes up for it. Its not only straight line grip wait until you feel the extra grip in the corners ! BTW i run 32-33 psi cold as ive done research on the nt05's most people run them in that range as they tend to get squirmy and move around on the tread when pumped to high. Some vette guys love running 29 psi but our cars are a bit heavier 33 psi feels great

Fronts are 19x8.5 and rears are 19x10 and I apologize. I mixed the offsets. They are +40 front and +52 rear. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yea, I've heard good things about both tires and don't think I could go wrong with either set. Now if only there were drag radials in 19's.
