Hi, I'm quite new to posting on here. I would like to know is anyone on here looking to order or ordered a c63 AMG 507 edition. I currently have a 2012 c63 and I'm going to hopefully receive mine in September. I know it's quite a lot of money for what they are but fancied something new and wasn't fast enough to pull the trigger on a black series so decided on that. I would also be happy to hear your thought's on the car.

Well, it's really nothing sensational, but like any C63, it's a bloody good car....and it could be one of the last...and 20bhp more than the "old" P.P.

i like the 507. i dont know the price. but it has the BS hood. great looking wheels. and more power. i would get it.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the car when you receive it as you will be getting it at least a month before me. I think my car will be one of the first delivered in the UK and I'm really looking forward to it.

Trs45 - I assure you ill be blowing up the threads here giving many details as to why/how the 507 is something to be coveted. Many have expressed that it won't be that sensational over the non-p31 and p31 variants. It's common when this kind of thing happens. The fact is, it's the only c63 (non-BS) that has over 500 rated hp and is the only sedan that has ever had the option of this much power. Add that to being the last year of this HUGELY popular generation AND the 6.2 L v8, I can see this being somewhat of a "hater" generator for those that don't have one (not saying all will be haters that don't have one, but there have already been a handful discounting all the perks). With the black series hood and nicely executed interior options available to the 507, that just set it over the top for me. If you have an opportunity to purchase one, i feel one can't find a better buy for the money.

I ain't a "Hater", and I wouldn't argue with much of that either.
However, there are some that don't like the external "stripes"..and there are also limited external colours & trim options?....but yes, owning a 2012 P31 C63, I'd like the "factory" 20HP & the B.S. bonnet!

Hater generator...that's intriguing.

We've all been driving our inferior C63s around for years now. I guess ignorance is bliss.

While it may be coveted to you, I don't think you'll find many forum members bent out of shape that their C63 isn't a 507, or care for that matter.

That said, it is a great trim model for those looking to purchase a new C63. I'd have bought one had it been available during my time of purchase.

The 507 is awesome. And it does have enough change to warrant its own edition and title. The hood vents alacantara accents, wheels, lightweight internals and 507 hp is enough imo. The p31 pack however on my car being a 2011 is somewhat a waste. No suspension change, brakes hardly different and the brakes on the non p31 are excellent as is, and a super mild tune that becomed washed out anyway once you apply any of the after market tunes that make nearly 2.5x the additional powet that the mild MB factory p31 tune gives the M156. If the p31 included an LSD it would have made that option certainly more appealing. It would be nice if the 507 edition came standard with it. Unless you are obsessed with drifting your car i suppose lol

I can't think of anything critical to say about the 507 with the exception of those swanky stickers. I can't imagine anyone "generating hate" towards it.

It is a great car and leaps ahead technology wise from previous years, but I don't think it's any more prestigious than other C63s (with the exception of the black series). It is rarer though, obviously, due to its special nature, which distinguishes itself.

Really can't go wrong either way when purchasing a new C63.

That's the first I've seen in black - it make for a good accent.

There are youtube vids of that car btw. I have yet to see any other pics than the Magno Matte coupe, the white sedan, a few pics of a black estate and this black coupe.

I just find it funny that everyone is saying that the new engine somehow will be inferior to our 6.2! I bet you when the new C63 comes out it will be faster, nicer, better equipped then our current cars. Competition is rising amongst MB competitors and they will have to up their game on their next generation models. Also bottom line is the minute the 507 is delivered it will already be OLD technology. This isn't coming from someone who is a hater it's coming from someone that loves cutting edge NEW technology. If I wanted a raw power classic V8 with rarity I would buy myself a 60- 70's muscle car!

Just placed the order for a 507. Should be here September/October. Was told that there are no factory options other than two tone leather. You have to buy the car with the following options;

AMG Driver's Package
19" alloys
Keyless-go
Black trim
illuminated door sills
red calipers (yuk!!)

I hate the red calipers and iluminated door sills but didn't have the option to leave them out.

There's no documentation to know what features will be included in the car other than what's listed as AMG in the 2013 C class owner's manual. Does anyone know where there will be a list of features for the australian delivery?

Yeah if you're after technology, by all means the next gen C63 equipped with the 4.0tt is something you'll love. As for me, I'm after the 6.2 in it's highest rated hp form available in c-class sedan; the 507 is perfect for that.

OK, Thanks, and thanks for the tip on the LSD. I'm going to ring as soon as the dealer is open and see if I can add that to the build.

I've been told that the coupe will not start production until August for Sept / Oct delivery.
