Rant MB Tax Spring Install
I'm really upset at two shops that are charging me $850 and $950 for 11 and 12 hours respectively. One of them even tries to explain that the rears will take 6 hours because of the remove and reinstall of "knuckle bearings". Okay then...Supposedly forum members say 3-4 hours without a lift DIY first timers. Autofx in cali does theirs for $450 +tax INCLUDING springs. Rant over.

That is total bs....i did mine in literally an hour. I hate hearing these kind of rip off jobs. I'm in the business and that just blows mind my mind to think that MB gets away with **** like this.

Looks elsewhere... those numbers are overpriced big time. I got mine installed for around 3xx$ which is on the high side cuz it was done at my friend's dealership. But at least, they did a flawless job.. my car drives straight like on rail even w/o an alignment.

If you &/or a friend is capable, it's not that difficult, check out my post in the link below which also links to a previous post of mine in another thread. Even if you bring it to a garage, check out the links so you can show them & be prepared.

I attempted to do it myself with the DIY posted above but, I couldn't figure it all out without it being too much of a hassle for me, got concerned and just put it back together, i'll have my buddies shop do it for me. I don't feel as the above instructions are adequate enough (at least not for me) to do a proper install on my own, I'll go ahead and pay the 3 hr labor charge to have them fight it for me.

My shop always puts me in schedule and rarely has scheduling issues that hold me back from dropping off or picking up..
It's good to be close personal friends with the shop manager

I can/do replace the multi-link rear suspension, knuckle bushing, lower control arm bushings, springs, shocks, sway bar links/bushings, wheel bearings, differential seals, both caliper hoses, parking brake shoes, rotors/pads, rebuild both calipers + bleed, and sub frame bushings in 12 hours labor !!!
