First time racing C63
Hey guys!
Yesterday I hit up a race track in my car, it was my first time racing a car on a track ever. Sooo much fun.
It was an open day at Hampton Downs in NZ that allowed everything from banged up $500 japanese cars to 800hp competition GTRs: (http://www.hamptondowns.com).
People were all over the show so I didn't take the lines I'd have liked, but I was happy with fairly easily keeping with a M3, and held on to a turbo Porsche. I seemed to either be more aggressive heading to the corners or had better brakes. Where I exited well on a few laps he never opened up a gap.
I was using Nitto NT05 tyres which gripped like crazy, they're 275 35 19 so you can hear them occasionally rub. Anyway, here are a couple of vids. Video 1 was with traction on. Video 2 was with a passenger and traction on sport mode:
Oh and the STi came on a trailer and was just a roll cage, so I didn't feel too bad getting overtaken. He owned a C63 and commented on a couple of laps how he was surprised at the back straight speed. But then we all know that
